A Quiet Hour Before the Noise

The market is already awake when I am. That does not mean it deserves the first word.
Most mornings begin with the same small negotiation: open the timeline immediately, or make coffee and write down what mattered before everyone else started explaining it to me. The notebook usually wins.
I keep the first page simple: what I believe, what would change my mind, and what I am willing to lose if I am wrong. Nothing about that process is exciting. That is probably why it works.
By the time the espresso is gone, the room has filled with alerts, opinions, and urgent predictions. Some of them will be right. Very few of them need an immediate response.
The quiet hour is not about avoiding information. It is about meeting it with a point of view already intact.
Conviction does not begin with certainty. It begins with enough silence to hear your own reasoning.
