The Best Trades Survive Dinner

There is a point in every evening when one more refresh stops being research.
I used to treat that point like a challenge. If the market stayed open, I stayed available. The result was not better decision-making. It was colder food and the gradual belief that every candle required a witness.
Now I use dinner as a test.
If the thesis is sound, it can survive garlic, tomatoes, and thirty minutes away from the screen. If it cannot, the position is probably too large, the reasoning is probably too weak, or both.
Cooking is useful because it insists on sequence. Heat the pan. Taste the sauce. Adjust. You cannot force the next step without ruining the one in front of you.
Markets are less forgiving, but the principle travels well.
Do the preparation. Respect the timing. Stop confusing attention with control.
Then eat while it is still warm.
