After Hours

Close the chart

A late table by the water, plates half finished, harbour lights behind.

Some decisions improve after dinner. Most timelines do not.

The rule is simple and I break it about once a quarter: no position gets adjusted between the second glass and the next morning. Not because the evening version of me is stupid. Because he is agreeable, and agreeable is exactly the wrong disposition for sizing.

What actually happened tonight: someone at the table asked what I thought was going to happen next, and the honest answer took four words. Everything after those four words would have been performance. I have started noticing how much of market commentary is the part after the four words.

Plates cleared, phone face down, chart closed. The candle printed without my supervision, as it has every night so far.
