Rules version 2 · November 8, 2026

Holder rewards

Holder rewards are a fee rebate: the holders of a Trench coin get back part of the trading fees that coin already pays. The rules below are fixed, published and the same for every Trench coin. Amounts depend on real trading volume and can be zero. They are not interest and not an investment, Trench shows no APY, and nothing here says anything about a coin’s price.

The first day settled under these Hold Age and vesting rules is the one that settles just after midnight ET on November 9, 2026. The Diamond Hands Pool and Dev pledges run from November 8.

Hold Age

Each coin’s daily holder pool (40% of Trench’s share of that coin’s fees) is split by tokens held, times hours held, times your Hold Age multiplier. Holding longer earns a bigger share of the same pool. Trench adds no new money; the pool is only shared differently.

The curve
1x when tokens are new, 1.5x at 24 hours held, 2x at 72 hours, 3x at 7 days (168 hours). Straight lines between those points; 3x is the top.
Lots
Each balance increase seen at an hourly snapshot is a new lot at age 0. Each lot ages on its own. Your multiplier on the coin page is the token-weighted average of your lots now.
Selling
A sell uses up your newest lots first, so trimming a bag keeps the age of what you have held longest.
Transfers
Sending tokens out of a wallet counts as a sell. Tokens a wallet receives start at age 0.
Hour credit
Balances are read every hour. Between two snapshots a wallet is credited only for the tokens present at both (the lower balance), at the multiplier they have reached by the end of that stretch. A stretch counts at most 2 hours, so unwatched hours pay nobody. Buying at :59 and selling at :01 earns nothing.
Daily split
Credits split at midnight Eastern time; each day settles just after.
Next step
The coin page shows when your average reaches the next point of the curve if you do not trade, for example “2x in 31h”.

Vesting and forfeits

72 hours
Each day’s holder pay vests 72 hours after it settles. It becomes claimable once an hourly snapshot at or after that time confirms the bag.
Forfeit
Selling before then gives up the same fraction of each unvested day: sell 50% of your balance and you forfeit 50% of what has not vested yet. A transfer out counts as a sell.
Where it goes
Forfeited holder pay goes to the holders who stayed: it joins that coin’s next daily holder pool. Forfeited Diamond Hands Pool pay stays in that coin’s Diamond Hands Pool.
Before you sell
The sell ticket shows what a sell would forfeit, and how many tokens lose their age, before you confirm.

Who counts

Real holders only, with at least 0.1% of supply (a stretch between snapshots counts only when the lower balance is at least 0.1%). The same rule applies to holder pay and the Diamond Hands Pool. Left out:

  • Pools and program accounts (any owner that is not a normal wallet), escrows, burn addresses and the Diamond Hands Pool addresses.
  • Trench’s own wallets.
  • The coin’s creator, and a bonded coin’s dev wallet.
  • The dev cluster: wallets linked in the dev record, the wallets on the creator’s Trench login, wallets first funded by those, and the Trench Score cluster that holds the creator.
  • Snipers (bought in the anti-snipe window), bundlers (the same rule as the coin page holder tags), and any Trench Score cluster that contains one.
  • Exchange hot wallets with public labels, checked again before each payout.

If a coin’s dev record cannot be read on a given day, that coin does not settle that day and its holder pool rolls into the next day.

Diamond Hands Pool

Every Trench coin has its own Diamond Hands Pool: one public Solana address, shown on the coin page with a Solscan link. The Pool pays holders at market-cap milestones, or after 90 days if no milestone is reached. These are Diamond Hands Pool rule version 1.

Formerly called the Diamond Pot.

Funding
50% of Trench’s own cut of the coin’s fees, any dev pledge sent to the Pool, and any SOL anyone sends to the Pool address. A top-up from the coin’s creator is shown as a dev top-up.
Milestones
Graduation, then a one-hour average market cap of $1M, $10M, $100M and $1B, in that order. Graduation counts when the coin migrates to its trading pool. Passing several milestones at once pays once.
One-hour average
The last trade price in each minute (carried forward), averaged over the last 60 minutes, times supply, times the SOL price in USD.
Who gets what
Each payout is split by tokens held times time held inside the current window. The window starts at launch, or at the previous payout. Same holder rules as above.
15% cap
One wallet cluster (wallets with the same first funder, or on one Trench login) gets at most 15% of a payout. The rest is shared pro rata by everyone under the cap. What nobody can take stays in the Pool.
7-day vest
Each payout vests in 7 daily parts. Selling before a part vests forfeits it, and the forfeited SOL stays in the Pool.
90 days
If the next milestone is not reached within 90 days of the window start, the Pool pays current holders by the same rule and a new 90-day window starts toward the same milestone.

Paid by fixed rules: at a milestone or after 90 days. Not a prize and not a promise of profit. The milestones are market-cap levels the rules check, not targets or predictions.

Heavy buying can push a coin past a milestone. Time weighting inside the window, the 15% cluster cap and the 7-day vest reduce what that pays; they do not remove it.

Dev pledge

A coin’s creator can pledge part of their own creator fees to the coin’s holders, at launch or any time after. It is optional and public, and the coin shows a “Dev pays holders X%” chip while it runs.

Size
10, 15, 20 or 25% of the coin’s creator fees.
Where it goes
The Diamond Hands Pool (the default) or the coin’s daily holder pay. The creator can change where it goes at any time.
30-day lock
Locked for 30 days from when it is first set. The creator can raise it at any time, which does not move the lock, and can lower or end it only after the 30 days.
Public
Every change is shown on the coin page and in the dev record, with its date.
How it is enforced
The creator hands the coin’s creator role to the Trench bond wallet GyLf…Ecrt, in the launch transaction or later, the same way a Dev bond works, so the fees cannot be claimed around the pledge. The pledge runs once that handoff is on chain. Each time Trench collects the creator fees, the pledged share comes off first and goes to the Diamond Hands Pool or to the coin’s daily holder pay, and the rest goes to the creator’s launch wallet in the same public transaction.
With a Dev bond
The pledge comes off first; the Dev bond’s 75/25 applies to the rest. On a coin launched from someone else’s post, the poster’s held share is taken on the whole collection.
Ending
When the creator ends the pledge after the lock, Trench makes a last collection and hands the creator role back within a few minutes, and not before a running Dev bond ends.

Verify

Each settled day of holder pay is hashed into one Merkle root and posted on chain as a memo from the Trench partner wallet 8GBf…oU5U, with the text trench-rewards:root:<YYYY-MM-DD>:<root>. On a coin page, Verify in the Holder protection card shows the last settled day’s root, the memo transaction and your wallet’s rows, and checks them against the root in your browser.

Leaf
sha256 (hex) of wallet|mint|kind|lamports|vests_at|period_end. lamports is a whole number; vests_at and period_end are UTC times with milliseconds, such as 2026-11-12T05:00:31.000Z (vests_at is empty when there is none).
Tree
Leaves are sorted as lowercase hex. A parent is sha256 of its two children’s 32 raw bytes, smaller first, so a proof needs no left or right flags. An odd node moves up unchanged.
Check
Start from your leaf; for each hash in your proof, hash the smaller of the two followed by the larger. The result must equal the posted root.
Which rows
A day’s root covers every ledger row whose period ends in that Eastern day.

Every settled day and every payout signature is also on the public rewards ledger. The Diamond Hands Pool’s balance is the balance of its public address, and every payout moving out of it is a public transaction.

Limits

  • A fee rebate, not interest or a return. Trench shows no APY.
  • Amounts depend on real trading volume in each coin and can be zero.
  • Nothing here is a statement about any coin’s price. Memecoins can go to zero.
  • These rules apply to coins launched on Trench only.
  • The Trench iOS app does not show Hold Age, forfeits or the Diamond Hands Pool; they are on the website.
  • Rules change only with a new rules version, posted with its date in the changelog. The legal terms are in the terms.
